90’s without the doubt was the golden period of Pakistan cricket. It was the time when we used to rule the world and there was no team that was good enough to challenge us .
From Imran khan , Wasim akram , to Javed miandad we had a team filled with stars and legends who were capable to change the course of the match with share brilliance .
It was the time when we used to beat India for fun as a result they refused to come and play a biletral series in Sarjah .
“Tom Moody” one of Australian cricket greats stated that in the 90’s our worst nightmare was to face the bowling line of Pakistan as they were too much skilled
Similarly Sourav Ganguly used to admire the team we had at that time and he accepted on various occasions that at that time India had no match for Pakistan
Carrying on the momentum, Pakistan went on to win the 1992 worldcup under the captaincy of Imran khan and in this way genuinely and undoubtedly becoming the best team of the world .
But after all that glory in the 90’s the world has seen the downfall of Pakistan cricket and 1992 was the only world cup we managed to win
The talent that used to come and shock the world is long gown and at one stage we slipped to no 8 position on the ICC one day ranking that speaks to the specimen that how much we had fallen .
Presently, Pakistan cricket is still under the shadows and the nation is hoping that one day may be we will rise again and rule the world .
